What Does a School Counselor Do?

A school counselor helps your child to succeed. Studies show that students learn best when they feel good about themselves. When students are able to understand their feelings/emotions, they demonstrate the ability to control their behaviors. Counselors work with school educators, families, and the community to support students by providing a comprehensive program which includes education, intervention, and/or consultation. As a school counselor, I am dedicated to the academic and socio-emotional development of all students.
